Defiance (1977) with Barges
After the conclusion of the CAMM conference, Maritime Hawai‘i traveled to Portland, Oregon. One of the highlights was a visit to the Columbia River Gorge.
Tidewater’s push boat Defiance was moving barges down the Columbia River. The following photos were taken from an area by the historic Vista House, which is located on the Oregon side of the river.
