RJ Pfeiffer (1992)
RJ Pfeiffer was named in honor of Robert J. Pfeiffer (1920–2003), who was a highly-respected figure in the maritime industry in Hawai‘i and on the West Coast.
Among Mr. Pfeiffer’s many accomplishments during the course of his illustrious life, he was named president of Matson in 1973 and president of Alexander & Baldwin (A&B) in 1975. A&B was Matson’s parent company at the time.
