BAP Unión Scheduled to Visit Hawai‘i

BAP Unión (BEV-161), the sail training ship of the Marina de Guerra del Perú (Peruvian Navy), will visit Hawai‘i at the end of this month.

According to PortCall.com, she is tentatively scheduled to arrive in Honolulu Harbor on Wednesday, 29 May 2019 at 0700 (7:00 am) and depart on Monday, 3 June at 1600 (4:00 pm). Her berth is currently listed as Pier 9.

The ship is a four-masted barque built in Peru. She was launched in 2014.


Edit: The arrival date and time has changed to 1100 on Tuesday, 28 May. If you plan to see the ship enter the harbor, keep checking the PortCall site for updates. She will be going to Pier 11, then will shift to Pier 9 on Wednesday. (27 May 2019)

    Hopefully their cadets behave much better than the Mexican Navy cadets that visited last year.
