The Falls of Clyde was built by Russell and Co. at Port Glasgow, Scotland. She was launched on 12 December 1878 (140 years ago). She was originally a full-rigged ship but was later converted to a barque.
happy birthday. i have fond memories of her at her prime (in my lifetime at least), in the late 90s. spent a lot of time dilly dallying at pier 7 when i was young. it is a special place for me.
