Camouflaged Aloha Tower

Camouflaged Aloha Tower and harbor buildings. Hawaiian Electric Company’s Alakea Power Plant is at the right side of the photograph. No date.
After the attack on Pearl Harbor and the subsequent entry of the United States into World War II, buildings around Honolulu Harbor were painted in camouflage patterns to confuse enemy attackers. The camouflage was eventually removed in 1947.
