Icebreaker USCGC Healy (WAGB-20)

USCGC Healy headed for Pier 19, assisted by Foss Maritime’s tug Mikioi and P&M Marine Services’ tug ASD Kaimana Hila (Tiger 2). 4 July 2017.
The Healy is one of only two (the other being USCGC Polar Star) US Coast Guard icebreakers currently in active service. Icebreakers have specially designed and strengthened hulls that allow them to break and sail through sea ice. The ship is named in honor of Michael Augustine Healy (1839–1904), who was an officer with the United States Revenue Cutter Service.
