Hawaiian Tug & Barge’s HTB 29
New Barge in Honolulu Harbor, 1968
A new barge owned by the Hawaiian Tug & Barge Company, tied up at Pier 28, is loaded with a variety of interisland cargo. Most of this appears to be construction equipment but a few passenger cars are mixed in as well. (DeSoto Brown Collection)

Dillingham [formerly Kapalama] Shipyard in August launched the HTB-29 a 193-foot flat deck barge. This was the first ocean-going vessel designed and built entirely in Hawaii. (Honolulu Advertiser, 5 October 1968)
